Two foreigners were recently arrested to face deportation for violating immigration laws. The two were identified as Ikechukwu Sedrack from Nigeria and Dae Heim Kwon from South Korea.
Sedrack, 37, was nabbed outside the Mandaluyong City Hall of Justice where he has a pending case, while the 31-year-old Dae was arrested inside a bar along Kamias Road in Quezon City.
The two had been tagged as overstaying alien by the Bureau of Immigration. Kwon is the subject of a summary deportation order issued by the BI board of commissioners.
Immigration Commissioner Norman Tansingco said both foreigners are detained at the BI detention facility in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City while awaiting deportation.
Sedtrack and Kwon had been put on the immigration blacklist and will be banned from re-entering the Philippines after their deportation.
