The Philippine peso on Tuesday, 13 December, weakened to P55.9 per US dollar from the P55.65 closing rate last Monday.
It opened the day at P55.64, a depreciation from its P55.4 start in the previous session.
The local currency traded between P55.92 and P55.6, resulting in an average of P55.815.
Volume reached $1.123 billion on Tuesday, higher than $683.95 million the previous session.
