FORT MAGSAYSAY, Nueva Ecija — The Philippine Army has recently launched a charitable institution in Palayan City with the aim to extend grants or endowments to active and retired Kaugnay personnel, their dependents, civilian human resource and other individuals in the community needing humanitarian assistance.

7th Infantry Kaugnay Division commander Maj. Gen. Andrew Costelo, the Kaugnay Foundation Incorporated was launched as a non-stock corporation duly registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission for charitable and educational purposes.

General Gregorio Pio Catapang Jr. (retired) Officer-in-Charge of the Bureau of Corrections, graced the event and served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker.

Catapang who is a former Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and former Commander of Kaugnay Division, officiated the oath-taking of the members of the KFI Board of Directors.

Costelo, on the other hand, commended and recognized the efforts, dedication and commitment of former 7ID commanders who contributed to the accomplishments of the Kaugnay Division through the years.
