Loakan Airport fully-booked

BAGUIO CITY — The local government here announced that the first week of the resumption of the Loakan Airport is now fully-booked with flights.

Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong disclosed that most visitors who will be traveling to the city via airplane are from Cebu City as many Baguio residents want to visit the Queen City.

The city government of Baguio earlier declared that Loakan Airport will start its operations on 16 December 2022.

The flag carrier Philippine Airlines also announced the scheduled of trips: PR 2230 Cebu-Baguio every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The said flight will be departing Mactan Cebu at 8:50 a.m., arriving at Baguio Loakan Airport at 10:50 a.m.

The PR 2231 Baguio-Cebu flight, on the other hand, is every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The plane will be departing at Baguio at 11:10 a.m. and will arrive in Cebu at 1 p.m.

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines earlier claimed that the rehabilitation of the airport is now into its completion and is already 90 percent ready. On 28 November, 2022, Philippine Airlines and CAAP conducted a test flight as part of the preparations.
