Kris Aquino wishes to get well so sons Bimby and Josh will have a mother who is well enough to take care of them.
Kris Aquino is preparing to undergo "every imaginable" medical test deemed necessary by her team of multidisciplinary doctors in the United States.
The celebrity, who's been diagnosed with multiple autoimmune diseases, said in on Instagram the tests it will likely be done in early 2023.
This is on top of the "more than 18 months of diagnosis and treatment" she's been undergoing.
Aquino, 51, said she's confined in a hospital's center for patients with rare and undiagnosed illnesses.
She has submitted all her medical records from 2018, when her autoimmune was first diagnosed in Singapore.
She also had a teleconsultation with an assigned doctor-coordinator before a scheduled video consult in two weeks.
When the results are released, her team will decide what treatment is best, as Aquino was labeled a "challenge" by her doctors since she's allergic to many types of medicine including steroids.
"My last set of test results was conflicting…. Pang-case study daw ako — one person with multiple autoimmune conditions and over 100 known allergic or adverse reactions to medication," she said.
She has informed US immigration to extend her stay. She's been there since June to receive treatment for a condition called Eosinophilic Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis (EGPA), described as "an extremely rare form of vasculitis, characterized by inflammation within small blood vessels.
"The condition causes blood flow restriction, which can cause organ damage throughout the body if left untreated."
Though EGPA is a serious disease, it is treatable.
