House eyes intensified PNPA modernization

The House of Representatives is all hands on deck to uphold the modernization of the Philippine National Police Academy and the benefits and welfare of its cadets in support of the Marcos administration.

The Lower Chamber vowed to support all measures aimed at bolstering the institution that prepares the nation's future police officers and to provide it the freedom to choose its academic and extracurricular policies, plans, and programs without interference from other forces.

It is also in support of the national government under President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. in its long-standing battle against crimes and illegal drugs.

"These measures are almost unanimous in their desire to establish a PNPA corps of professors and instructors, and to create a system of faculty, placement, promotion and development," House Speaker Martin Romualdez said in his speech during the flag-raising ceremony at the PNPA Grandstand of Camp General Mariano N. Castañeda in Silang, Cavite on Monday.
