Detained actor and television host Vhong Navarro is set to be transferred by the National Bureau of Investigation from its detention facility to a jail in Taguig City.
The NBI disclosed that it received on 14 November 2022 the order from Regional Trial Court Branch 69, to commit the actor — Ferdinand Navarro in real life — to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology Taguig City Jail-Male Dormitory at Camp Bagong Diwa.
"Navarro will have to undergo the mandatory Medical Examination, including RT-PCR (reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction) test, in compliance with the health protocol requirements prior to his transfer to BJMP, Taguig City," the NBI said.
Navarro has been held at the NBI's detention facility at its headquarters in Manila since turning himself in last 19 September on a non-bailable charge of rape.
He has a rape case before the Taguig City Regional Trial Court Branch 69 and acts lasciviousness case at Taguig Metropolitan Trial Court Branch 116.
The cases stemmed from the complaints of model Deniece Millinete Cornejo who accused him of sexually assaulting her in 2014.
