
The Senate on 15 Tuesday approved a P49.2-billion budget for the Department of Labor and Employment and attached agencies.
More than half or 27.25 billion is allocated to the Office of the Labor Secretary, while P18.236 billion is for the use of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority.
The remainder is for the Professional Regulations Commission (P1.749 billion), National Labor Relations Commission (P1.38 billion), National Conciliation and Mediation Board (P275 million), National Wages and Productivity Commission (P271 million), and the Institute for Labor Studies (P55.586 million).
