British School Manila runs for a cause

BSM’s fun run first took place in 2015 and is usually held in Urdaneta Village. This year marks the first it had been held in BGC and the first to be held using the school’s newly resurfaced field.

The British School Manila recently held its annual fun run to raise funds for its service and sustainability partners.

More than 350 members of the school’s international community participated. Students, families and staff took part in their chosen challenge distances.

The event is one of many held throughout the year to support their partner organisations.

BSM’s 2022 service and sustainability partners are Chosen Children Village, One Million Lights, Turtle Nursery Bataan, Waves for Water, Mount Purro Nature Reserve/ MPNR Foundation, Stepping Stone, Gawad Kalinga Silver Heights, Kythe Foundation, Red Cross, FEED Inc (Siniloan Tree Planting), Springboard Foundation, Best Buddies, Sta. Elena Fun Farms, La Mesa Watershed, Talaongan East Elementary School, Forest Tourism community in El Kabayo, Subic Bay, and Sitio Yangil, San Felipe, Zambales.

Meanwhile, its “make a difference” partners include Bambike, For The Future, Kids for Kids, UCycle, Magwai Reef Safe Cosmetics, Urban Greens, and Djembe Drum Circle.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the fun run migrated online.
