It's back. Ayala's much-missed sound-and-lights spectacle — the Festival of Lights — returns after a two-year physical absence at the Ayala Triangle Garden in Makati City. On 10 November, the bustling corporate space turned into a magical spot for Makati City's greatest show, to the delight of a packed crowd and the fulfilled promise of one "never seen before" entertainment.
Director Ohm David and lighting designer Sueyen Austero conceptualized this year's presentation that threw laser projections on the trees, presenting constellations at that start and that turned out into colorful indigenous patterns afterwards to symbolize the hope of coming together. Next, viewers were even more thrilled as the venue turned dark and out virtually leaped images of parols and other native Christmas icons.
The full-on spectacle became even more overwhelming with the lively music of a symphony.
Catch the show every day from 6 to 10 p.m. until 8 January 8. The Simbang Gabi at the Ayala Triangle Gardens will also return from 15 to 23 December.
