Bong Go vows to push for the establishment of more SHCs nationwide

Sen. Bong Go committed to push for the establishment of more Super Health Centers throughout the country as he aided recovering victims of Typhoon Agaton in various towns in Iloilo province from 7 to 8 November.

Mounted at the municipal halls in Bingawan and Calinog, municipal gyms in Lambunao and Anilao, and a covered court in Pototan, Go's outreach team assisted a total of 3,003 residents.

They distributed food packs to the residents. They also provided cellular phones, shoes and bicycles to select beneficiaries.

Meanwhile, representatives from the Department of Social Welfare and Development extended financial assistance to each affected household.

Go committed to support the establishment of Super Health Centers in Iloilo City and the towns of Anilao, Carles, Igbaras, Maasin, Pavia, Sara and San Joaquin. He, together with his fellow Senator Robinhood "Robin" Padilla, personally attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the San Joaquin Super Health Center on August 13.

"Isa po talaga sa mga advocacy ko ang health. Nung dumating ang pandemya sa bansa, nabigla po talaga ang lahat lalo na po ang ating health sector. Kaya naman marapat na mag-invest tayo lalo sa pagpapalakas ng ating health care system," stressed Go.
