A man who tried to steal from a parked vehicle is facing multiple charges after he yielded a knife and illegal drugs in his possession in Las Piñas City.
The suspect was identified by the police as Eduardo Volante, a resident of Las Piñas.
Volante was held in custody after he was chanced upon by lawmen trying to steal from a parked vehicle on Tuesday along Sampaguita Road, Pilar Village in Barangay Pilar.
Reports from the Southern Police District revealed that the suspect yielded a knife and suspected illegal drugs weighing 0.7 grams worth P4,760.
The suspect will be charged for violation of Sec 11, Art. II of RA 9165 (Dangerous Drugs Act of 2022) and BP 6 (Illegal Possession of Bladed Weapon).
He is now in the custody of Pilar Sub-Station 5 as he awaits the filing of formal charges against him.
