Various local governments in Metro Manila expressed their support for the development of a traffic code by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority.

The meeting was organized by the Single Ticketing System Technical Working Group which includes the traffic heads of various local government units, the MMDA and the Land Transportation Office.

"The view of all Metro Mayors is unanimous for the Single Ticketing System to be fully integrated under the new Metro Manila Traffic Code," said MMDA Traffic Discipline and Enforcement Office head Victor Nuñez.

He also said the goal is to have a harmonization or unified system of fining those who violate traffic laws throughout the National Capital Region and there should also be interconnectivity in the LTO, with the method of catching traffic violators by different local governments should be standardized.
