BAGUIO CITY — The local government here, Department of Trade and Industry Baguio and Benguet and some national private companies will be offering residents anew — especially those belonging to the business sector of the city — a discount caravan after a two-year hiatus.

The "Diskwento Caravan" will once again be launched following its temporary suspension due to the coronavirus disease pandemic as it has been an annual event where buyers and sari-sari store keepers can find affordable products.

Through this, manufacturers, distributors and selected retailers are brought together to offer discounted prices of commodities to consumers for a limited period of time.

This year, the caravan will be held on 18 to 20 November 2022 at the Baguio Athletic Bowl in Burnham Park.

The caravan will be participated by some 100 distributors, a local super grocery, the Baguio City government and the DTI Baguio and Benguet and consumer organizations. According to the organizers, consumers will be able to enjoy up to 50 percent price reduction on many kinds of products.

The "Diskwento Caravan" will be on its 12th year which was aimed to foster
Public-Private-Partnership." Said event was also to enhance the advocacy towards consumer education, entrepreneurship and consumer welfare awareness.
