Young singer: Hard work, perseverance lead to success

Singer-songwriter Tera says hard work and perseverance really pay off for young and determined artists.

Tera, which is Latin for Earth, is ready to break new ground in the music scene. She's handled by Merlion Events Production Inc. and Tyronne Escalante Artist Management.

Her original single, the alt-pop "Higher Dosage," alludes to abuse of alcohol and illegal substances.

She also wrote two other songs, "Façade" and "Sa Dilim."

"As a child, I would perform for people and, ever since, never got tired of doing it" she recalled, adding she hopes people will relate to the track.

Tera undergoes regular training with choreographers Douglas Nierras, Chrisy Sawada, and Froi Dabalus.

She is also studying piano at the Yupangco Music Academy, Voice Masterclass with Monet Silvestre, and at The Madz Studio with coach Alfred Samonte.

"I'm humbled and grateful to be given this opportunity that not a lot of people can have," she said.

Tera reiterated artists should never give up on their dream: "'Wag niyong bitawan yung pangako niyo sa sarili niyo na at a very young age that you wanted to be a singer, dancer or an artist. Keep doing it and God will give it to you," she said.
