Police Regional office 4B director Brig. Gen. Sidney Sultan Hernia on Friday commended the voluntary surrender of 136 members and supporters of the New People's Army to the different police units in the region from 1 January to 31 October 2022.

"I laud the efforts of our men and our counterparts from the AFP, the LGUs, and other government agencies in the government's campaign against insurgency through the NTF-ELCAC," Hernia said.

The latest rebel who yielded to Mimaropa police was "Ka Bobbie," 36, a Milisyang Bayan member under Kilusang Larangang Gerilya of Sub-Regional Military Area, a unit of the Southern Tagalog Regional Party Committee.
