
For the second time around, Lt. Gen. Rhodel Sermonia is now the second-highest official of the Philippine National Police after being named as the deputy chief for administration effective Sunday.
Sermonia held the same position under then-chief PNP Gen. Dionardo Carlos.
Last 2 October, he was named officer-in-charge of the Office of the Deputy Chief for Administration following the mandatory retirement of Lt. Gen. Jose Chiquito Malayo.
PNP chief Gen. Rodolfo Azurin Jr. implemented a major reshuffle last August, making Sermonia chief of the Area Police Command in the Visayas.
Meanwhile, 16 ranking police officials were included in the latest PNP reorganization.
Maj. Gen. Michael John Dubria is now chief APC in the Visayas while Maj. Gen. Eden Ugale is the new Civil Security Group.
Brig. Gen. Romeo Caramat Jr. has been designated deputy director of Directorate for Intelligence and Brig. Gen. Pablo Labra II will be the new PRO 13 regional director.

The revamp took effect on Sunday.
