Immigration staff full force for Undas
Travelers are in good hands with immigration officers on duty
Bureau of Immigration personnel are in full force to serve travelers during the long Undas holidays despite the bad weather, according to the agency's head.
Frontline employees are still on high alert and we have sufficient manpower to meet the needs of the traveling public inspite of typhoon "Paeng's" onslaught, BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco said on Monday.
Immigration officers will continue to be on duty to prevent service interruptions and guarantee that our border security is not jeopardized with the influx of travelers, Tansingco said.
Many of them risk their lives in torrential downpours and flash floods just to report for work and carry out their duties, the BI chief said of his staff.
BI officers assisted travelers impacted by the typhoon due to cancelled flights, he said.
The BI Commissioner praised the dedication of BI frontline workers, who continue to provide services on weekends public holidays and inclement weather.
"They will continue to provide all travelers with high-quality service," he said.
