Mapúa University — the Philippines' premier engineering and technological university — has finally realized its vision of becoming one of the top universities in the world, as it is included in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2023.
Out of the more than 25,000 universities throughout the world, Mapúa is ranked 1501+ among the 1,799 universities across 104 countries and regions that made it to the list.
Furthermore, Mapúa is one of only four Philippine higher education institutions that made it to the rankings.
The global ranking is measured by the universities' core missions. Mapúa is ranked as follows in the various criteria: Research — Rank 1139; Citations — Rank 1703; Industry Income — Rank 1716; Teaching — Rank 1757; and International Outlook — Rank 1771.
In research, Mapúa has the second highest rank among the four Philippine universities that made it.
The new recognition from THE is an assurance for all of Mapúa's stakeholders, most importantly the Filipino community, of the excellence and global competitiveness of the Mapúa education, far-extending from its role as a nation builder to an adept initiator and enabler of cutting-edge research, development, and innovation that is beneficial to all.
