May-December-January was selected as an entry to the fall festival of the 30th season of ImageOut: The Rochester LGBT Film Festival, which was held from 6 to 16 October in Rochester, New York, United States.
The film, together with Silip sa Apoy (Peek at Fire), is also included in the program of the 10th Asian Film Festival Barcelona, which will happen in Spain from 26 October to 6 November.
May-December-January was screened on 16 October at the Little Theatre, marking the film's North American premiere.
Directed by McArthur C. Alejandre and written by National Artist for cinema Ricky Lee, the film just had its world premiere and started its Philippine run on 12 October.
Produced by Vivamax Films, May-December-January stars Andrea del Rosario, Kych Minemoto, who won the Audience Award at ImageOut 29 for Gameboys: The Movie, and Gold Aceron.
