Doctor donates laser to cancer foundation

Dr. Neil Oropeza MD FPDS, president of the Oroderm Group, and his family donated a top-of-the-line Alma PixelCO2 laser to the Skin and Cancer Foundation Inc., a non-stock, non-profit organization that services over 12,000 charity patients annually and which trains dermatology residents in the provinces.

In a formal turnover ceremony held 15 September at Pardon my French restaurant in Makati, Dr. Oropeza, Amy Oropeza, and other members of their family presented this important equipment which will be used to remove benign and malignant skin tumors, resurface scars, and to do bloodless excisions.

Dr Oropeza is a graduate of the SCF residency training Dr. Oropeza is a graduate of the SCF residency training program and donated the laser to express gratitude for the skills he gained during his training, and to give back to the foundation.

This laser will benefit the dermatology residents of SCFI who will be able to experience using a high-quality machine as part of their residency training.
