PDEA, DDB open to medical cannabis

The anti-drug agencies, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) are open to the use of medical cannabis or marijuana.

They said this in the hearing of the proposed 2023 budget of the two agencies attended by PDEA Dir. General Secretary Wilkins Villanueva and DDB Secretary Catalino Cuy.

In the hearing, PDEA and DDB stated that they have not yet closed this issue of using marijuana for medicine, and Padilla was pleased with their statement.

PDEA's proposed 2023 budget of P3.167B and DDB's P447M passed through the Committee Level.
