PMA hosts BuCor inmates

The Bureau of Corrections said yesterday it will place 26 persons deprived of liberty for pre-release reintegration programs before their actual release.

The inmates were earlier transferred to the Philippine Military Academy in Baguio City for the said program.

The 26 are among the 90 inmates sent to PMA under BuCor's agreement with the academy to provide housing and livelihood for those who are about to be released.

The same agreement is also being ironed out by BuCor with the Philippine National Police Academy in Cavite.

According to BuCor public information head Chief Supt. Julie May Taguiam, the pre-release reintegration programs were held last 18 to 23 September.

The inmates were afforded orientation on personality development, livelihood skills, counseling and exit interview, Taguiam said.
