NEW YORK CITY –President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. described his six-day working visit in the United States of America "success."
The President said he was "satisfied" and "very happy" with the outcome of his trip after meeting several state leaders and potential investors here.
Marcos Jr. officially ended his US trip on Friday evening (Philippine time Saturday morning) as he departed New York City. He met reporters covering his trip hours prior to his flight.
"We take away from this trip with a great deal of work to do to operationalize all of the things we have talked about. The most important thing to me was to get these discussions started and we have achieved that," he told the Philippine media delegation at a press conference in the Carlyle Hotel.
"Overall, I can say that I consider the trip a success, and overall I am satisfied with the work that we have done," he added.
Throughout the week, Marcos Jr. met several heads of state like US President Joe Biden, Japan Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, King Abdullah II of Jordan, and French President Emmanuel Macron.
He also met several senior executives from American firms such as Procter & Gamble and the World Bank, as well as the Filipino community in New Jersey.
