Independent artisanal and local brand HA.MÜ by Abraham Guardian and Mamuro Oki continue to take an experimental, avant-garde approach: Upcycled deconstructed garments, textured patchworks and threadworks and the distinct character in a clash of colors, layers and prints.

Hailing from the Fashion Design and Merchandising program of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, the creative duo specially curated the most popular pieces from their milestone collections.

Standouts include looks from their Spring/Summer 2022 Tokyo debut collection Flowers of Youth which taps into the duality of youth and the different stages of life, as one navigates through the period of unraveling their identity.

The dominant silhouette is puffed-sleeved — uniform and side drape shirts, deconstructed boy scout tops, ampalaya blouses, raglan tees, circle puzzle, and tailored irregular
hem-lined vests.

It likewise includes scene-stealing blob pants and slants, 2D round silhouette and denim shorts, skirts and apron dresses, pinafore frocks, curved jeans and printed trousers, as well as a range of statement accessories from hats, caps, and bags to magnetic string of stone necklaces.

Moreover, HA.MÜ prepared its diffusion RTW brand, müü.haa, which invites fashion enthusiasts to a new way of looking at school uniforms.

A seamless fusion of style and comfort, it comprises approachable and easy-to-wear shirts and shorts, pajama sets, denim jeans, wrap-around overskirts and dresses, coats and trousers in cotton, twill, and light and breathable pinstripe fabrics.

müü.haa also features limited edition prints and patterns in the form of Doodletime button-downs, quilted vests and timeless accessories, among others.

HA.MÜ, which is also known for its bespoke piña pieces for special occasions, champions local fabrics. The selection includes the creative duo's contemporary takes on the traditional Philippine fiber that marry elegance and playfulness.

The pair likewise opened the doors of their studio and workroom for consultations and fittings. For more information, visit https://www.facebook.com/hamustudios.
