Make way for F2 Logistics

F2 Logistics has succeeded in beefing up its roster with the acquisition of American import Lindsay Stalzer and Kalei Mav for the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference kicking off 8 October.

Stalzer hit town last Tuesday while Mau is on her way from Hawaii to join the squad that placed sixth in the Open Conference and skipped the Invitational Conference.

"Returning for some unfinished business. Recalled for a homecoming. Let's move now, Lindsay Stalzer and Kalei Mau," the team's social media page said in its post.

Stalzer will be a veteran among the imports when the competition starts as she has already won trophies with Foton and Petron in the Philippine Superliga.

The 38-year-old opposite hitter won the PSL Grand Prix title in 2016 with the Tornadoes under head coach Moro Branislav of Serbia before winning it all again with the Blaze Boosters in 2018 under coach Shaq de los Santos.

Her recent stint in the Philippines was with the Cargo Movers where they lost in the 2019 PSL Grand Prix final to Petron.

She was also part of the campaign in the 2020 Grand Prix before the pandemic put a stop to everything.

Adding Mau to the roster will just make things worse for competing PVL teams due to her familiarity with the team.

The 27-year-old won two PSL titles with the Cargo Movers and helped them win their first Champions League crown last year.

Mau is determined to show what she's got.

"The (not so) secret is finally out and I'm coming home F2. See you soon," Mau said in a social media post.

Meanwhile, Akari is looking to make a strong impact in its debut conference when it acquired the services of Olympian Prisilla Rivera.

The 37-year-old middle blocker represented Dominican Republic in three Olympic editions and had won 13 Most Valuable Player awards, 17 club titles, and 12 international gold medals in a colorful 22-year career.

Her most recent stint was with Jakarta Pertamina Energi's 2022 pro league campaign.

She is regarded as one of the best Dominican athletes and was branded as the "meritorious daughter" for her contributions to her country's sports program.

Prior to Rivera and Stalzer, PLDT hired Elena Savkina-Samoilenko of Russia, Army signed Laura Condotta of Canada, Cignal tapped Tai Bierria of United States and Petro Gazz acquired Lindsey Vander Weide also of the United States.

Choco Mucho has yet to announce its import, but Uzbek-Azerbaijani hitter Odina Aliyeva is rumored to be powering Choco Mucho.

In fact, the 32-year-old Azerbaijan national team member had posted on social media that she is training with Flying Titans Des Cheng, Regine Arocha and Ponggay Gaston in Baguio City.

So far, only Creamline and Chery Tiggo have yet to announce their reinforcements.
