Undesirable alien nabbed in Binondo

A Chinese national who was previously arrested previously at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport for bringing into the country skimming devices meant to gain access to bank cards, among others, was nabbed by a composite team of law enforcers on the basis of being an undesirable alien.

In a report to newly -appointed Bureau of Immigration Commissioner Norman Tansingco, BI Fugitive Search Unit Chief Rendel Ryan Sy identified the arrested Chinese national as Wu Hongsheng, 40-year-old male. Wu is an undesirable alien who poses risk to public interest.

According to Sy, Wu was nabbed last Tuesday during an operation conducted by the BI-FSU operatives along T. Alonzo Street in Binondo, Manila in coordination with the Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the CIDG-Manila DFU.

It was learned that last 31 August 2016, Wu was already caught at the NAIA Terminal 2, by the Bureau of Customs in flagrante, while carrying into the country the stolen credit cards, several skimming devices and access devices specifically bank cards belonging to different owners, SIM cards, wiring-connectors, laptops, accessories and other similar articles in commercial quantity.

He was charged and subsequently got released after posting bail.

Sy said that Wu has a pending criminal case filed before Branch 112, Regional Trial Court of Pasay City for Violation of RA 8484 or the Access Devices Regulation Act of 1998.

Wu will be transferred to the BI Warden Facility in Camp Bagong Diwa Taguig after his booking and documentation at the BI Main Office and upon testing negative for Covid-19 via RT- PCR Test.
