Teams from the Philippine Basketball Association want the league's Commissioner's Office to veto the reported trade involving Calvin Oftana of NLEX, Troy Rosario of TNT and rookie Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser of Blackwater.

This pertains to the agreement reached by team executives and owners after the controversial Christian Standhardinger rule in 2017.

Five years ago, Kia owned the first-round pick, but ended up trading it to San Miguel Beer, creating a howl of protest from other members of the squad, who sensed the move would create imbalance to the league.
