Coastal development project in Navotas

Mussels businessmen in Navotas City fully support the local government project that will help improve the transport of their seafood harvests to different parts of the country.

According to Glicero delos Santos, among the approximately 80 people investing in Tahungan, they agreed to remove part of their Tahungan without a permit from Navotas to make way for the city's project with the help of the San Miguel Corp.

The Navotas Coastal Development Project includes the creation of an expressway from Navotas to Bulacan and the construction of the city's largest socialized housing project.

An investor in Tahungan usually earns P100,000 to P300,000 per harvest which is usually brought to Central Luzon and even South Luzon.

Delos Santos added that even though they removed the Tahungan that were paid to them, they still own many Tahungan in Navotas and Bulacan, and they are enough to fill the mussels demand.
