The Supreme Court has determined at least 14 local testing centers nationwide for the conduct of the 2022 Bar Examinations.
In Bar Bulletin 7, S. 2022 released yesterday by the Office of the Bar chair, Associate Justice Alfredo Benjamin S. Caguioa said the move was in line with the Supreme Court's continuous efforts for a regionalized and digitalized platform for the conduct of the Bar Examinations.
The bar bulletin stated that after considerable assessment and evaluation, the Office of the 2022 Bar Examinations Chair has determined that there shall be a total of 14 LTCs, located in the following areas: National Capital Region, Northern Manila, Southern Manila, Pasay City, Quezon City and Taguig City.
Luzon; Baguio City, Benguet, Lipa City, Batangas, Naga City and Camarines Sur.
Visayas; Northern Cebu City, Southern Cebu City, Tacloban City, Leyte. Mindanao, Cagayan de Oro City, Davao City and Zamboanga City.
The Bar bulletin reiterated that the matters of selection and assignment of a Bar candidate's exam venue site are processed on a first-come, first-served basis, i.e., applicants who submitted their applications and paid the Bar fees earlier are assigned to the earlier batches.
Each batch of unconditionally and conditionally approved Bar candidates will receive two notifications in their Bar Personal Login Unified System-registered email address: An email notification informing them that their applications to take the 2022 Bar Examinations have been approved; and an email notification informing them that the venue selection module is available in their Bar PLUS accounts.
The Bar candidates were urged to closely monitor their Bar PLUS-registered email addresses for the aforementioned notifications.
For the purposes of venue selection, Bar candidates shall be divided into three batches. The first, second, and third batches of Bar candidates will receive the first email notification that their applications to take the 2022 Bar Examinations have been approved on the following dates:
Batch 1, 13 September 2022; Batch 2, 15 September, Batch 3, 17 September.
Each batch may then select their preferred examinations venue based on the schedule below:
Batch 1 14 — 15, September 2022, Batch 2 16 — 17, September 2022, Batch 3 18 — 19, September 2022.
On 14 September 2022, the first batch of unconditionally and conditionally approved Bar candidates will receive the second email notification, and they may select their preferred exam venue based on the areas mentioned through the Bar PLUS. The second and third batches will receive the second email notification regarding the availability of the venue selection module in their Bar PLUS accounts, and they may select their preferred exam venue on 16 to 18 September 2022, respectively.
