NPA leader nabbed

BUTUAN CITY — The Surigao del Norte Provincial Police Office revealed on Monday that its operatives arrested a top New People's Army rebel leader in the province.

The SDNPPO identified the arrested rebel leader as Nenita Generalao Dolera, the alleged secretary of NPA Guerrilla Front 19, Sub-Regional Committee Southland of the North Eastern Mindanao Regional Committee.

"Dolera, who has three standing arrest warrants, was apprehended on 10 September in Purok Bilang-Bilang, Barangay Taft, Surigao City," the SDNPPO said.

Dolera has an arrest warrant for attempted murder issued on 29 July 2021 and another attempted murder case issued on 7 January 2022 by the Regional Trial Court Branch 40 in Tandag City in Surigao del Sur province.

She is also facing a frustrated murder case in an arrest warrant issued on 22 July 2021, by the RTC Branch 7 in Bayugan City, Agusan del Sur.

Dolera was arrested by combined forces of the intelligence division of the Police Regional Office in the Caraga Region, the SDNPPO, together with the Surigao City Police Station, the Philippine Coast Guard in Surigao del Norte, the 41st Military Intelligence Company, and the Army's 401st Infantry Brigade.
