‘Arat na!’: Zeinab Harake as social media darling

Social media darling  Zeinab Harake will most likely give Ivana Alawi stiff competition in showbiz.

But not just yet. Zeinab herself admitted she's not ready to pursue acting, unlike Alawi who, in July, was cast in the ABS-CBN series Family Affair with four leading men: Gerald Anderson, Sam Milby, Jake Ejercito and Jameson Blake.

The talk from Kapamilya sources is that Ivana will soon star in her debut movie.

Zeinab, meanwhile, has been tapped by Beautederm to endorse its Koreisu toothpaste and Etré Clair mouthwash products.

In a recent media conference at Luxent Hotel to promote her product endorsements, Zeinab revealed she has turned down several movie and TV offers which came when her followers on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and TikTok zoomed to millions within four months in 2019.

If Ivana has a Moroccan father, Zeinab's is Lebanese. Both have Pinay mothers. Ivana and Zeinab are likewise both petite beauties fond of sexy outfits.

Zeinab is not conservative about love and all that jazz. On her vlogs, she openly talks about her personal life, her domestic partner, vlogger Skusta Clee (Daryl Ruiz), his alleged unfaithfulness, and her being a mother to two of their children (the second of whom died in infancy in April).

She finished college in a Catholic school and adopted a baby boy when she was just 18. The boy is now 5 years old and living with Zeinab's mother.

Zeinab once worked as a baton twirler in a marching band and held other odd jobs before she got the most pleasant surprise of all — a vlogger in sexy attire.

Her language is streetwise, a mix of Filipino and English, though not as risqué as that of Madam Inutz.

Zeinab's favorite expression "Arat na!" is the current youth generation's slang for "Tara na!" (Let's go!) — "arat" is "tara" spelled backwards.

The girl who was born and grew up in Bacoor, Cavite, is now 24 and is keeping mum this time about her new boyfriend.

She has earned enough from her vlogs to buy herself a P4-million family van and a farm. At the media launch, she mentioned financially supporting not just her family but other relatives.
