ECHO handed former top seed ONIC PH its third consecutive defeat following a 2-1 win over the latter on Week 5 Day 3 of MPL Season 10 this Sunday evening.
After scoring one game each, ECHO's star jungler KarlTzy brought out his trademark hero Lancelot in the deciding stanza to end the series once and for all in 15 minutes. He earned an MVP citation for Game 3 with a 3/0/3 KDA.
"There were lots of requests [to use Lancelot] and it was good to use against them because they do not interrupt the jungle," KarlTzy said.
The win advanced ECHO's season standing to 6-2 with 12 points which put them at the no.5 spot in the ladder while ONIC dropped to 5-4 at top 4.
Earlier in the day, Bren Esports scored its third straight win with a 2-1 nod over TNC. The MPL Season 6 champion and M2 world champion now sits at a do-or-die spot at No. 6 with 12 points while TNC remains at the bottom with 5 points.
