As the number one motorcycle manufacturer in the country, Honda Philippines Inc., presents industry-leading excellence in design as well as performance. HPI engineers quality rides by tapping on its proud racing DNA, which was on full display again last month with a string of wins in local and international competitions.

The victories came one after the other in August, adding to Honda Racing's rich engineering heritage and serving as a testament to its unwavering pursuit of excellence. Honda's prestigious CRF and CBR models starred in the various races.

Taking the global off-road circuit by storm were the CRF450R and CRF250R. On 14 August, Tim Gasjer of Team HRC was crowned 2022 World Champion in the MXGP Round 16 in Finland. He clinched the title with two races still remaining, riding the CRF450R.

The win was followed by the impressive performances of Chase Sexton, Jett Lawrence, and Hunter Lawrence in the AMA MX Round 11 at Ironman National, USA on 27 August. Sexton won the 450 Class with the CRF450R, while Jett topped the 250 Class and Hunter placed third with the CRF250R.

Meanwhile, in international on-road races, in a grand showcase of unyielding determination and top-class design, Team HRC brought home the bacon as it dominated at the Suzuka 8-Hour Endurance Race in Japan last 7 August. Their win came on the strength of the powerful CBR1000RR-R Fireblade.

On the Moto 2 front, Japan's Ai Ogura and Thailand's Somkiat Chantra of Honda Team Asia took the top two positions in the Austrian GP last 21 August. They rode the Kalex Moto2 four-stroke race motorcycle, equipped with a Honda engine.

Their winning ways continued back home, as well. Alfonsi Daquigan added to his rapidly-growing resume in the National Motorcycle Racing Championship Super Sport 155 Class at the Batangas Racing Circuit on 7 August. The 12-year-old Filipino racing wunderkind took second place, riding the CBR150R.

On 14 August, Daquigan marked another win, this time at TSR Championship Super Sport 155 Class at the Carmona Race Track in Cavite. He won the race with the CBR150R.

Finally, Jakob Sablaya dominated the MotoIR event at the Tarlac Circuit Hill on 21 August. Sablaya commanded the competition in the Super Underbone Sealed and Super Underbone Open categories with the Supra GTR150. He also scored a second-place finish at MotoIR2 with the CBR150R.
