Pampanga bridge now 88% complete

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — The construction of the Pampanga Delta Bridge Project of the Department that connects two towns in Pampanga and two towns in Bulacan is now 88 percent finished.

According to Department of Public Works and Highways Senior Undersecretary Emil K. Sadain, the 270-meter Pampanga Delta Bridge is a crucial component of infrastructure development that will promote economic growth in the Municipalities of Masantol and Macabebe in Pampanga and Calumpit, Hagonoy and Malolos City in Bulacan.

He added that the construction of the said bridge is under the DPWH Bridges Construction Replacement Program 2 and is implemented by DPWH Unified Project Managent Office — Bridges Management Cluster.

He cited that the construction is being carried out by contractor Eddmari Construction & Trading in a joint venture partnership with J.H. Pajara Construction Company.

The aforementioned localities from the two provinces are exchanging trades through long routes passing Apalit, Pampanga, Sadain said.

The agency allotted P566.6 million for the construction of the Pampanga Delta Bridge, and is said to stimulate investment and growth with better connectivity for Masantol and Macabebe which are known to be Pampanga's center of aquaculture development.
