Digital technology has revolutionized the healthcare sector and the way health problems are prevented, treated, and managed. A study by consultancy firm Deloitte estimated global spending on digital healthcare transformation reached $1.3 trillion, with 92 percent of healthcare professionals and institutes achieving better performance from digital transformation.

In the Philippines, Globe and Mexican company Salud Interactiva are advancing their all-day health service hotline to bolster digital healthcare offerings by making it more accessible via mobile phones.

"The greatest impact of telehealth thus far has been the democratization of healthcare, wherein hundreds of millions in savings are generated for those who cannot afford health insurance or cannot afford to see a doctor," said Pedro Yrigoyen, principal and co -founder of Salud Interactiva. Yrigoyen's team flew to the Philippines to participate in the closing event for the recent consolidation.

Globe and Salud Interactiva are among the leading proponents of consolidating the Philippines' three digital health apps into one super app that will address consumers' health needs on a grander scale.

Set for launch in the first quarter of 2023, the KonsultaMD super app integrates Globe and Salud Interactiva's KonsultaMD with the telemedicine platform HealthNow and home care provider AIDE. The new super app will be packed with first -in-the-market features on end -to-end patient care to help the country's healthcare system better address customers' evolving needs.
