A Grade 4 pupil together with her mother filed a case against a Northern Police cop on 3 September.
Suspect for a case of Statutory Rape named PCpl Reynold Aggabao Panao, 38 years old and a PNP personnel presently assigned at Dalandanan Police Sub-Station, Valenzuela, was arrested.
Panao was the live-in partner of the victim's mother.
The Grade 4 child was awakened when Panao held her hand and placed it on his penis.
The victim pulled her hand back, but, moments later, the suspect placed his hand again inside the victim's lower garment, inserted his finger inside the victim's vagina and rubbed it.
Suspect stopped only when the victim's mother was awakened. The victim then tried to get up to switch on their lights and to reveal her ordeal to her mother, but the suspect prevented her saying "'Wag ka maingay, kapag nalaman ng mommy mo bubugbugin ko siya".
Out of fear, the victim left the room and went to his brother who was sleeping in the living area.
At about 12 o'clock noon of 3 September, the victim revealed her ordeal to her mother that she was sexually abused by the suspect and immediately reported to Dalandanan Police Sub-Station that resulted to the arrest of the suspect.
During investigation, the victim further revealed that it was not the only time that the suspect sexually abused her.
A complaint of statutory rape will be filed against the arrested suspect before the Valenzuela City Prosecutor's office through electronic Inquest Proceedings.
