The National Bureau of Investigation has arrested and filed human trafficking charges against a woman said to be recruiting and offering minors online for sex.

Nabbed by the NBI Anti-Trafficking Division was Jenalyn Joy Hierco. She was presented for inquest proceedings before the Department of Justice in Manila.

She is facing charges of violation of the Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act and the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination.

The suspect was alleged to be offering females, aged 15 to 17, for sex at P5,000 per session. The NBI agents contacted the suspect through Facebook and set up an entrapment operation against her in a restaurant along Shaw Boulevard in Pasig City.

Hierco was the first to arrive followed by the minors who were offered to perform sexual services. Hierco was arrested when she took the marked money.

Six minors were rescued and turned over to the care of social welfare officers.
