Filipinos are foodies by nature. Every moment is enjoyed with snacks or a full-course meal in front of them.

Bai Hotel Cebu (styled as "bai Hotel Cebu") is taking off from that point as the leisure property establishes itself as a food hub in Mandaue City, Cebu.

"Bai Hotel Cebu is relatively far from the residential area so we make sure people have a purpose of going here. We're pushing for Bai Hotel to become a food destination," said Alfred Reyes, Bai Hotel Cebu vice president for Operations and general manager.

The property houses a variety of restaurants catering all kinds of diners.

Wallstreet Coffee + Bar is often visited by students who study medicine as the hotel is near a university.

Prior to the pandemic, Reyes shared that the place is already full of students by 4 p.m. Now, it's businessmen who occupy the space for their meetings.

Offsetting the coffee shop is Lobby Lounge.

Nestled on the lavish lobby of the hotel, it is the perfect place for a nightcap where people can order wine, cheeses and cold-cuts.

Marble+Grain is the ultra-luxurious steak place of Bai Hotel.

The place offers the finest variations of steak and wine, as well as seafood, in addition to its great service that made them attain TripAdvisor's top spot.

From Western then comes Asian; specifically, UME Japanese Cuisine.

Reyes noted its Japanese chef's strict adherence to authenticity, saying: "He said he won't make fusion cuisine because his Japanese nationality will be put to waste."

Those who prefer a livelier evening may head on up to Twilight Roofdeck Lounge+Bar.

Not only is it a great place to spend time and party with friends, it is also the best place for one to stare off onto the horizon as it has the view of the city on one side and the harbor on the other.

"We're planning to renovate that this year. We're going to put a glass roof so you can still see the sky. That would be towards the last quarter of this year," Reyes shared. "We will also change the concept. We'll serve dinner there but after, it turns into a party place. You can have fun and it ends at 1 in the morning."

Finally, there is Café Bai, the hotel's buffet perfect for families. It offers various international cuisines and is now offering a shabu-shabu station.

'Your host in the South'

Besides its restaurant outlet, the property is also popular for its comfortable rooms and amenities.

Entering Bai Hotel Cebu is a grand lobby with high ceilings accentuated by panels and glass walls. Its center piece is the grand staircase that leads to Café Bai.

Another aspect that's unique to Bai Hotel is its use of low emissivity glass which prevents 30 percent of sun penetration in its 668 guest rooms and suites. It is also energy saving.

Its amenities include an outdoor infinity lap pool, fitness center, the R SPA at Cebu, as well as kids' room and conference rooms that are favored for weddings.

Bai Hotel Cebu is located at Ouano Ave. corner C.D Seno street, City South Special Economic Administrative Zone, Mandaue City, Cebu.
