SM Supermalls is pleased to announce the partnership with Sanrio Southeast Asia Pte Ltd to launch Hello Kitty & Friends: Kawaii Festival at SM Megamall. Cherry Blossom is Japan’s national flower and Japan’s hanami season usually stretches from March to May of each year.

SM Megamall chose the Sakura Season, an iconic springtime event as the main theme for this event, in hopes of bringing this mesmerizing season closer to shoppers with the presence of the beloved Sanrio Characters, Hello Kitty, My Melody, Cinnamoroll and Kero Kerokeroppi.

On 1-18 September 2022, the SM Megamall atrium will be transformed into a kawaii town depicting classic Japanese settings accompanied by Sakura trees, to allow shoppers to gather and enjoy Hanami, which literally means “watching blossoms”.

Made up of a total of 5 zones, each zone will be decorated by a Sanrio Character that will surely delight fans, young and old alike.

Come and chill out at the Cinnamoroll Café, munch on sweet cravings and new confectionery products.

Visit the zen-inspired garden featuring Kerokerokeroppi, enjoy nature and participate in fun and relaxing activities to end the kawaii experience at SM Mega Mall.
