Bong Go aids residents in Murcia and Talisay City, Negros Occidental

Sen. Bong Go's team provided assistance to struggling residents in Murcia and Talisay City, Negros Occidental on Wednesday, 31 August.

Mounted at Murcia Sports & Cultural Center and Carmela Executive Village in Talisay City, Go's outreach team provided masks, snacks, and shirts to a total of 200 indigents. Meanwhile, some of them received shoes, bicycles, computer tablets, and balls for volleyball and basketball.

As part of the government's interventions to uplift pandemic-affected communities, several agencies also provided livelihood assistance to the residents.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development provided livelihood grants to encourage residents to start possible small business ventures that may help them sustain their needs and cope with the challenges posed by the health crisis.

Meanwhile, the Department of Trade and Industry assessed the beneficiaries and provided further livelihood assistance through its Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa program.

The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority also extended scholarship grants to qualified individuals.
