The Komisyon ng Wikang Filipino has recognized the Office of the Press Secretary for promoting the Filipino language in public service.

Press Secretary Trixie Cruz Angeles received on Wednesday the Selyo ng Kahusayan sa Serbisyo Publiko or the Seal of Excellence in Public Service.

The KWF recognized Angeles's office for its initiatives in using the Filipino language in its official transactions and communications.

In a separate statement, Angeles expressed elation over the conferment of the KWF award.

The Press Secretary vowed that she would lead her office in ensuring the continued promotion of the Filipino language.

"We will continue promoting the Filipino language in public service — from our social media contents to our response to media queries, to our public statements and announcements," Angeles said.

A total of 29 government agencies and units received the KWF seal for the consistent use of Filipino language at the forefront of their governance and public service.

The KWF held the awarding rites at the Diamond Hotel in Manila on Wednesday.

The Department of Agriculture headed by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and the Department of Education led by Vice President Sara Duterte were among the 29 recipients of KWF's Seal of Excellence in Public Service.
