Along with announcing “The World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation”, the newest lion cub in Malabon Zoo and Botanical Garden (MZBG) named “Kalikasan” was introduced to MZBG, with the participation of the nuns from The Holy Face Of Jesus.

According to Manny Tangco, zoo owner, the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation 1 September, as declared by the Pope is being celebrated every year.

Per the Pope, this year’s theme is “Listen to the voice of creation!” The cry of anguish by mother earth to stop destroying forests, wetlands, mountains, rivers, seas, countless species.

“According to the Pope, ‘If we destroy creation, creation will destroy us!” said Tangco.
