PHOTOGRAPHS COURTESY OF UNIQLO SELECTA has lived in Filipinos’ hearts for 80 years.

It’s been a decade since Japanese fashion brand Uniqlo docked on our shores — literally speaking because it was mounted at the Mall of Asia.

To mark its 10th anniversary, the brand launched a special collection called UT Pilipinas featuring local brands that have become part of our culture, representing different stages of Filipinos’ lives.

These brands are Jollibee, Selecta, National Book Store (NBS) and San Miguel Pale Pilsen.

Aside from its famous logo in front, the phrase “Joy Fits All” at the back of the UT Pilipinas Jollibee shirt can mean happiness is not size-sensitive.

The UT Pilipinas Selecta shirt, meanwhile, features the tune that Filipinos often hear whenever an ice cream vendor passes. Its logo is embellished at the back.

Uniqlo and NBS pay homage to the go-to bookstore’s roots by bringing back its original logo on the chest pocket of the UT Pilipinas NBS shirt.

Finally, the UT Pilipinas San Miguel Pale Pilsen shirt is hoisted to be everyone’s favorite drinking tee. It has the logo on the chest area while the beer brand’s tagline “Sarap Laging Kasama” is at the back.

Shop these iconic shirts at Uniqlo stores or on the Uniqlo app.
