Confidence tips from Queen Cat

It’s common knowledge that Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray set the standard high in many aspects of life.

The way she presents herself is unmatched but with the tips she shared during Cetaphil’s Bright Radiant and Always Ready event, maybe, just maybe, we can follow her lead.

Have a good amount of sleep. The thin line between work and leisure is why getting enough sleep seems impossible.

As a busy person, Catriona acknowledges this fact, too. But finding time “to be able to get that rest for yourself” is enough.

Find joy in your routine. The pandemic brought us back to the basics. With this came the urge to lay around all day.

Catriona believes that having a routine is essential in order to keep track of life. Though it may be boring to some, looking at it in a different light will eventually lead to falling in love with the simple joys routines offer.

Make sure you have a great canvas. Makeup products are heaven-sent but the reality is it’s hard to work around an unclean canvas — our faces
— which is why a bulletproof skincare routine is a must.

In spite of this, Catriona reassured that it’s okay to have imperfections.

Go for makeup that flatters you and your features. We all have role models whom we turn to for beauty tips and tricks. But most of the time, we don’t have the same features as they do so it’s best to get to know yours and create looks that would suit you best.

Choose clothes you’re comfortable with. We can now wear our dressy clothes once more as live events are once again being held left and right.

Wear the clothes and do not let the clothes wear you, Catriona advised. Comfort is key to going about the day harmoniously.

Study your angles. Practice is key to present yourself accordingly, especially during this time of smartphones and social media.

This is also very essential to Catriona who’s a beauty queen. She practiced her angles by just observing herself in front of a mirror.

Be present. This is more than just whether or not you are using your phone while out with friends. Being aware of yourself and your surroundings emits confidence. Although it’s hard at first, this skill can be developed.
