TARLAC CITY — Newly installed Tarlac State University (TSU) president Arnold Velasco has vowed to boost the research outputs of teachers and students to create more opportunities and attract funding agencies.
“Doing research has many advantages. It will not only give our personnel incentives but also opportunities to present their research abroad and use them for promotion,” he said.
“We will work with the possibility of having research capability enhancement, seminars, and training” Velasco added.
Also, the university, presently with State Universities and Colleges Level 3 classification, will invite funding agencies. It is shooting for classification 4, he said.
TSU is also eyeing to participate in the Times Higher Educational Impact Rankings and the Quacquarelli Symonds Asia University Rankings.
