“Rhythm of Life,” an exhibition featuring the mixed media works of 13 artists, is on its last day on 22 May at The Art District Gallery, 2/F Calvo Building, Escolta, Manila.
The participating artists are Ral Arrogante, Wilson William Baldemor, Richard Buxani, Florante Caedo, Frederick Caedo, Roen Capule, Salvador Ching, Joe Datuin, Harold Gomez, Chris Magbuhos, Yul Servo Nieto, Sam Penaso and Jun Vicaldo.
According to the exhibit notes: “Arrogante focused on painting after a long career at the Swiss Embassy; Caedo chose to carry the family legacy in creating sculptures; Datuin pursued his dream of making a name in the visual arts scene after being an art director in a major TV network; and Penaso concentrated on his one true passion after working for a big advertising firm.
“Their explorations, discernments and dedication to their art portray an interesting image of the Filipino artist — an individual graced with extraordinary imagination and skill to create exceptional works of art, as a means for personal expression and, ultimately, for the greater good of society.”
The exhibit is open from 12 noon to 9 p.m. For more details, contact Donato Nesperos, tel. 0927-793-7441; email: [email protected]
