Trike driver meets tragic end

BAGUIO CITY — A tricycle driver died following a vehicle mishap along the National Highway in Barangay Poblacion, Aringay, La Union.
The trike driver — identified as Roel Yaranon, a resident of Poblacion — was declared dead on arrival after his tricycle collided with an L300 van driven by Rodolfo Solomon, a resident of Barangay Asan Norte Sison, Pangasinan.
The Aringay Police said that the trike’s driver lost control and spun before colliding with the approaching van and due to the impact, the motorcycle was detached from the sidecar while the victim was thrown a few meters to the ground.
The victim was La Union Medical Center in Agoo, La Union but did not make it as he suffered multiple injuries.
