Netflix has announced that the action thriller movie The Gray Man will premiere on 22 July.
CIA operative Court Gentry (Ryan Gosling) a.k.a. Sierra Six, a highly-skilled, Agency-sanctioned merchant of death, is plucked from a federal penitentiary by his handler, Donald Fitzroy (Billy Bob Thornton).
Six — hunted across the globe by Lloyd Hansen (Chris Evans), a former cohort at the CIA who will stop at nothing to take him out — finds an ally in Agent Dani Miranda (Ana de Armas).
The Gray Man, based on the novel of the same name by Mark Greaney, was first published in 2009 by Jove Books.
Produced by Netflix and AGBO, it is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, and also stars Ana de Armas with Regé-Jean Page, Jessica Henwick, Dhanush, Wagner Moura and Alfre Woodard.
Screenplay is by Joe Russo, Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely with producers Joe Roth, Jeffery Kirschenbaum, Joe Russo, Anthony Russo, Mike Larocca and Chris Castaldi.
