Barangay Ginebra eliminates TNT

Defending champion Barangay Ginebra San Miguel eliminated TNT Tropang Giga, 115-95, in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Governors’ Cup at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Saturday, 19 March.
Do-it-all bigman Justin Brownlee was at the forefront of the Kings attack with a double-double of 29 points and 18 rebounds as they advanced to the semifinals.
Tied at 38 with 5:27 left in the second quarter, Ginebra launched an attack with a 21-10 run by the end of the frame and never looked back.
Mikey Williams had 17 points for TNT in a losing effort.
The defending champions will face the winner of the other quarterfinal match between the Alaska Aces and the NLEX Road Warriors in the best-of-five semifinals to be announced on a later date.
